Zimdancehall artist Romeo Anthony, aka Shinsoman, has been fined US$200 after admitting to smoking cannabis. The 37-year-old appeared in Mbare Magistrates’ Court alongside four others, all pleading guilty to possessing dangerous drugs.
The court heard that the group was caught smoking cannabis near a parked Mercedes-Benz in Highfields on January 5, 2026, during a CID Drugs and Narcotics investigation. Magistrate Ranga Jere warned the accused that failure to pay the fine would result in a four-month jail sentence, with three months suspended for five years.
Shinsoman’s fans are hoping this is a minor setback for the artist. The fine is a small price to pay for a lesson learned.
