Chatunga Mugabe, the son of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, has been arrested in Johannesburg after allegedly shooting a security guard during an altercation at his Hyde Park residence. The guard, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, is in critical condition and receiving medical attention.

The incident unfolded when Mugabe, reportedly involved in a dispute, opened fire on the guard, prompting a swift response from South African police. Mugabe allegedly barricaded himself inside the residence but was later detained at the scene .

This isn’t Mugabe’s first brush with the law. He’s faced previous allegations of violence, including leading an armed gang in a mine assault in Zimbabwe’s Mazowe district, where security guards were brutally attacked.
